There is overwhelming evidence that achieving equality and empowerment for women has immediate impacts that benefit them directly and broader ripple effects which are good for society. Women are the change agents and pillars of their communities, investing most of their income on supporting their children (e.g. health, education) and in their local economies, creating a tremendous economic impact.

We educate adolescent girls and women in the slums of Mumbai to empower them as leaders for other women and their communities. Building on our Kishori Development Programme, training also includes financial management, self-defense, disaster management and first aid skills. We look to empower 1,000 female LiFE Leaders a year.
